I throughly enjoyable read. I really liked Diana Wynne Jones and definitley will be reading more of her in the future. It was interesting to see her take the main character and make her "old and unappealing".
As for Howl himself - well I know we were all suppose to fall in love with him - and I was compelled but his womanizing kept me a bit off balance - still I like the way the book ended up and I'm glad to see progression there.

I loved this book as a child, and loved it even more as a movie. I'm not the biggest fan of anime, but Brad coaxed me into it with Princess Mononoke, which I adored. The same director, (whose name I'm too lazy to find and type,) also did Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away. Now I have a desperate desire to watch them all again. They're definite comfort movies.
