Originally read this for university in 2007. Hated it with a passion.
Re-read it 10 years later and - oh my God - I could not get enough of this book. Every character in this novel is detestable but the story is so gripping & entertaining, I did not want it to end. In spite of the narrative within a narrative style, every chapter has drama & emotion & craziness which ensures there's never a dull moment (Charlotte B, I'm looking at you).

The most boring book I’ve ever read!
I couldn’t stand this book! Not only was it depressing, but sinfully boring! Not sure why this was a classic. It’s just mostly people complaining, crying, insulting one another and being completely miserable!
