JL Merrow's second Paranormal Enforcement Agency tale is a real blast to read (NB, it reads fine as a standalone). This story of sexy demons, rugged half-Valkyrie giants and fiery salamandars doesn't let up for a moment. I found myself in a quandary as to whether to pause and enjoy the witty prose, written in JL's inimitable style, or whether to race ahead to the end so I could find out what happened!
