Brandon (Stefan) and Frank

So different than the first four books in this series. I wasn't expecting that difference or the heavy emotional tone. The authors handle a difficult subject well.

These two authors are rock stars together. More, please?

Former military men playing kinky paintball where it's a capture and surrender theme? Where do I sign up? I am never going to think of paintball the same way again. I don't even have to play the game; I'd be happy to be a referee like Frank. Frank is the owner of Market Garden, a high end club which hosts exclusive rent boys. Too bad this is a club filled with studly men for men only. With Nick retiring, Frank needs another dominant to fill the desires of these needy submissive clients. New guy, ...more

This was an incredibly sexy story. The paintball games were great (oh, to be a ref on that field), but I was pleasantly surprised where this story headed once Stefan had captured Frank's attention, which was relatively early on. I didn't expect the turn of events at all.

This book was perfectly good at what it did -- hot sex leading to deeper feelings -- but mostly it turns out I just don't get into stories very much when the romance plot is on its own.

The scene that I find myself really happy with after the fact is the one where Frank (view spoiler)

I really liked this addition to the Market Garden series. It was decidedly more serious than the other books in the series but still kept the playfulness of the other stories and the hotness. ;-) I think LA Witt and Aleksandr Voinov make a great writing team and I wish they'd write another book -- Raoul needs his HEA! (I haven't read On the Clock yet, so maybe he gets his HEA there, but if he doesn't, then my statement stands. :)). ...more
