This book, babes. Lie-kit. It's real special.

This is my first time listening to a book narrated by Nicholas Boulton. It was brilliantly done. I can't judge whether the different English accents were accurate, but they sounded great, and fit each individual character. This was freaking incredible. Wow, just wow!

I have had this book for so long, since just after it was released actually, and even though I knew I would like it (what an understatement!) every time I began it, I struggled to get into it and was unable to get past the scene where Niall picks Ash up in the middle of the night (about 5 pages in). But one crazy night, he finds Darian -- a glittering, tacky, gorgeous, sweet, non-cynical man with an unfiltered approach to joy

I wanted to like this one but the accent was just too much for me. There were just to many time where I had to re-read a line several times to make out what Darian was saying. I didn't enjoy it, I didn't like the authenticity, I was just frustrated. I'm not a huge fan of British stuff anyway and I didn't get the Essex's thing so it just didn't appeal. Ash was an interesting character but I think this would have been better served with the beginning of his story with Nick and Max then this book f ...more
