This one I am on the fence about, it was entertaining. It was short, shallow, it was about Spencer who hires a rentboy and discovers he is a sub and pain slut. Nick is the rent boy and also a Dom. They come together Spencer hires him and away they go.
What surprised me was the fact that I came to care about each of these guys somewhat. I didn’t expect a romance from this story of course, but what I got was a spark, needs fulfilled and chemistry. There is no HEA here, but instead a few steps towa ...more

Nick = hot as hell! Loved him. Loved the rentboy aspect, loved how it ties into the series. These stories have all been perfect. And trust me, it's hard to write good novellas, but LA and Aleks pull it off beautifully so that it doesn't feel like a short. Excellent and highly recommended.

Hot enough to split trees? Absolutely. Witty? Very. Am I in love with Nick? Completely (he is so delicious I could scream).
Perfectly paced scenes which had me captivated the whole time. I felt like Nick was coming right through my kindle. His presence was powerful and his voice commanding. Clever display of interactions and communication (showing both the light and dark, tender and brutal aspects of BDSM).

In this book we meet Spencer, a lawyer whose life is filling up with work stress and is at the end of his endurance. He needs something, yet he has no idea what. When his coworker Percy suggest, or rather pushes him to join ...more

I'm really enjoying everything about this series. The writing is great, and the sex is hot. This story delved into this pair as a truly developing couple—and it could, even in one book there is almost twice as much writing as the two others together. I really liked 'them' ... a lot. Spencer has an interesting and definable voice, and even though you don't hear from him, Nick is intriguing. I'd love to get into his head. Nick and Spencer didn't quite gain the hold on me that Tristan and Jared did
