Me está gustando mucho mas la historia de Nick y Spencer que la anterior. Creo que aquí hay de hecho una historia que contar, más que un fragmento o escena recortada de otra que desconocemos en su totalidad. Just a little rant and bit of spoiler:

I had a difficult time rating this one.

I'm really not a BDSM fan...especially not a fan of pain, but somehow this one worked for me. It was pretty intense, but Nick took care of Spencer afterwards, which was comforting.

This was the problem: Nick leaving Spencer so abruptly, before he could calm down from their scene was shocking...uncomfortably so. After months of trust being built, completely doing a 180 was so out of character for Nick that it was not bel ...more

Hmm, who would have thought that a ride with a sadist and a masochist was exactly what I needed right now. The story of Nick and Spencer left a pleasurable throb in its wake.

While I hope to see more of Tristan and Jared in this series, I wasn’t the least bit disappointed in reading Nick’s story. Spencer seems to have all the needs and responses to make a perfect sub, and it doesn’t take long for Nick to realize that Spencer isn’t just the perfect sub in general; he’s the perfect sub for Nick. Wow, I'm seeing all of these reviews that thought it wasn't such a hot book, but I thought it pulled off what it was intending to do just fine. This is more along the lines of a "typical" rentboy story, where you've got a john who gets attached and a rentboy who doesn't want to get attached. This story just happens to also incorporate S/M into the mix with a Dom (the rentboy, Nick) who has seen emotions bleed over and cause turmoil before, so he doesn't let it do that anymore. ....this is really a four star story IMHO (see Vivian's lovely review) but I feel compelled to boost my rating because of Witt and Voinov's characterization of Spencer!
