not at all what i was expecting to find in this ever so popular book. it was a joy to read the beginnings, playful and nostalgic. The author to me has successfully captured a childs mind and words in narration and dialogues. the regional language has also been used in a way not difficult for the reader to understand. the later half of the story; is more monotone in emotions; sparked only by Majeed's mind flashing back. the essense of hope in the protagonist's mind transfers to the readers, anf k
