What Members Thought
While there are some holes in the story, I still really liked it. The most recent movie version follows the book more closely than others, but the book is different enough that there were surprises. My teenage son said the movie was creepy and gory and was surprised when I told them the book had no gore. Most interesting is that the book was written by a very young (19) person. According to her biography, she was quite worldly, though.
I was looking forward to this one and was disappointed. I made it through to the end but it certainly wasn't as spine chilling as I was expecting.
