Why did it take me eight years to read this book?
I would like to begin by quoting the author's words to describe her own work...
In the novel, Gabrielle mentions a fictional made-up memoir called "The Late Bloomer" Which she describes as "Every word is the right one and exactly where it should be. That's basically the highest compliment I can give."

I read this for the 2018 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge prompt: a book that involves a bookstore or library. The prompt was proving difficult for me because I have learned that I dislike books about libraries or other books generally. I’m not really sure why. Oh, I loved this one! I didn't want it to end; I fell in love with the characters and with the story itself. I listened to this on audio, and wished I had read it in book form, because I wanted to savor each word.

One good thing about my weather detour- I got to finish my audiobook! I loved this book and feel like the format of Audiobook fit it very well. Loved the narrator and loved the story.
