I gave up 40% in. Nine may be a master at disguise but, as secret agents go, he is unconvincing. He is supposed to be super-intelligent, yet he is incredibly incompetent. A woman in a market takes his picture. He follows her home, concerned that she may be an agent after him he forces his way into her apartment and the first thing he does is knock her about. He punches her in the stomach then slaps her a few times in the face. Then he attempts to establish who she is. He demands to know why she I gave up 40% in. He punches her in the stomach then slaps her a few times in the face. Then he attempts to establish who she is. He demands to know why she photographed him. Turns out she's just a photographer. While looking at the proof (photos all around the room) the evidence of his future plans (an airline ticket confirming his final destination!) falls out of his pocket and lands in front of said photographer. Damn! Now she knows too much. Nine is going to have to kill her now. Oh, but she's so attractive. Pity he didn't ponder on that instead of beating her up. If Nine was truly as good a spy as he is meant to be, he would have had the good sense to establish who Isabelle (the photographer) was without harming her or alerting suspicion.

The premise is basically a cross between two TV shows of the early 00s: Dark Angel (by James Cameron and Charles Eglee) about a genetically-enhanced bunch of teens who were created to be superior soldiers/assassins and one breaks out and goes on the run, and Alias (by JJ Abrams) about an American secret agent working for SD6, who she believed to be a black ops branch of the CIA but is actually a private organisation very much like 'The Omega Agency'. Both protagonists (strong female characters) were 100 times smarter than Nine. I have the box sets and I'd rather watch them again than continue reading this.
