This is one of the most interesting vampires in the Vampires in America series yet. Aden was a slave before he became vampire, which left him bitter about life. With the former lord of the Midwest gone (destroyed by Lucas, another vampire lord), there are those who want that position. Aden is one. I really enjoyed this book, the whole scene where Sidonie was taken by Pinto was a little anti climatic but all in all it was good.
