This was a huge struggle. I have a hard time with Christian-themed anything and this was, of course, taken to the same extreme Terry Pratchett takes all things. It’s not for me.
On the bright side, I watched the first episode of the miniseries last weekend, and it already made me chuckle. The book did not make me chuckle. It didn’t even make me crack a smile.

Probably the funniest book I have ever read. An angel and a demon, specifically the angel who guarded the gates of Eden and the demon who gave the apple to Eve, are now in charge of Great Britain. Over the millennia, they have pretty much decided that their lives will be a whole lot simpler if they stop fighting and instead fudge their reports to their respective superiors while getting on with living the good life. This all works fine until the Antichrist is due to be born. In England.

A brilliantly funny and original novel about God, Devil and The Apocalypse. Gaiman and Pratchett are masters of the written word, and their magnificent writing really shines through here.
This is a brilliant, funny and slightly odd story about good and evil, and faith and friendship, set in the end of the world.
I laughed quite a lot reading this book. Go read it now.
