I hadn't realized how badly I wanted a smart thriller--a novel with spies and Russian mobsters and gunfights, but written at a higher level than airport bookstore pulp--so thanks for that, Neal! Despite the heft and the incredibly complex plot, I flew through it and greatly enjoyed the ride. I particularly enjoyed the asides with the two ridiculous fantasy writers.
