A really beautifully written and enthralling book. Very little plot as such, but the fascination comes from suspense at how these very different characters, both before and after the apocalypse, will be connected. Like Cloud Atlas this is a book about how there are ties that bind us even when we aren’t aware of them.

I read this in basically one sitting.
