As sweet as I remembered.
I realized I had never read this classic and it is a beautiful depiction of friendship.
Classic and good.
Although, and I hate to say anything negative about a book loved by all ages, I wanted more of the "main" character, or "protagonist." I put in the quotes because it seems like it's about Fain - and it definitely begins that way. But very early on in the book, she disappears, anti-climatically, as her parents predicted, because of a boy.
Not sure that message truly fits in with the rest of the book. ...more
