I've read this book many times over the years and always enjoy it.
The post-apocolyptic life where people are afraid to repeat the past and keep themselves in a simpler, more natural world, where perfection is all. One can banish those with deformities that can be seen but what can one do to protect oneself (and society) from deformities that one cannot see?

Enjoyed the ease of reading that still begged the bigger questions. Creatively addresses the true nature and potential of humanity and its ideologies. Also, always a good thing to keep re-asking "Who is God?" Not sure what genre it fits and found the characters a little dry, but still interesting to discover a novel that is the obvious fore-runner of so many more recent books.
