This book is about a girl named Jennifer who hears that her grandma(Sam) slips and ends up in the hospital with a coma. When Jennifer gets to Sam's house she goes to bed, but on the table next to the bed she sees a bunch of letters addressed to her. So she starts to read them one a day, and she learns more about her grandma then she ever could have imagined. Then at the lake house she meets a guy named Brendan and they fall in love. After they fall in love he tells her he has cancer.
I enjoyed this book a lot. This is one of my favorite books I have ever read. It is mostly a romance, but it has its moments of suspense and shock. James Patterson is an amazing author who can make a tear jerker one moment and an o my gosh part next.
I would recommend this book to girls mostly. Boys would usually not like romance books so they would not enjoy this book.
