What Members Thought

Wow! Blazed through this book faster than I usually do. Great imaginative sci fi action and scenarios, as well as a great analysis of what it is to be human. Love a story that isn't afraid to confront the reality of our existence and still comes out feeling hopeful. This book does exactly that.

I tried to read this book because of the introduction of Scalzi to Haldeman's book (The forever war), but I found it I didn't like this one also, but for different reasons: I think that the humor was not to my liking at all, and the story was boring and the characters inconsistent. What it seems now clear to me is that I can stop reading sci-fi books, when I don't like them, much more easier compared to the other type of books, which I always tr to finish.
