Despite being written in 1931, it remained thought provoking, insightful and powerful, an absolute must read. Somewhat of a info-dump near the end, but still very good.
This particular edition (possibly many) has a forward from Aldous Huxley from 1946 that for me is not helpful and should also be placed at the end of the novel. <(view spoiler) ...more

I thought I had read this in high-school...if I did I certainly didn't understand any of the themes or warnings about moral decay and excess! This is truly a ground breaking work. I tried listening to the audio, but I found it easier to absorb the beautiful turns of phrases, the irony, and what can only be described as horrors in the print version.
