I did not enjoy and had problem with the novel mainly because the book is more about relationship and interconnection of the three main characters and their family rather than the science behind the book. The science is just the back drop that made the characters stick so long together rather than part of the world building. Also the setting of the book could have been any time in the present in at the end of the 30 years. The reason I read science fiction and fantasy is for me to be transported ...more
