There wasn't much needed to change to write this adaptation of the Dragonlance Chronicles. This first volume has gorgeous art that is sometimes too dark to tell what is happening but it definitely remained true to the original novels which I read more times than I care to admit as a child. I really wish that they would finally make these into an amazing series on a streaming service, they have so much more to pull from now with all that has been published since the original novels' releases.

Interesting enough fantasy book. Its writing was much better than other similar books I've read, even though it seemed at times that you could tell plot points were being constructed through dice rolls.
The characters were kind of basic, falling into any number of common molds such as cleric, barbarian, mage, and such.
I'd say it's definitely worth a read for fans of the genre. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series. ...more
