Be careful, spoilers ahead. You have been warned.
Story within story type of book.
Quite gripping for the first half, getting tiring for the rest. All I want is to meet this Shrike in real, not just as a creature in other people's story. Which is not given by this book.
I love the Priest's tale. The horrifying events happening to Father Dure (and the implications) really stun me, and makes me interested enough to continue till the end. I also quite like the Scholar's tale, not much happened, but it ...more
