What Members Thought
2nd attempt at reading this series. I just can’t get into it. The magic system is really interesting. Along with the world Sanderson has set up.
But it’s the characters and dialogue that I can’t get passed. Characters will explain things/events that everyone in the discussion should be aware of.
Still want to get into Sanderson’s work. Hopefully Way of Kings grabs me.

I just don't know what to say about this book. I didn't like it when I read it, but having heard so much praise for Sanderson's writing I'm beginning to doubt myself. Maybe I just haven't given it enough of a chance? I decided to try sanderson's new series to see if this is the case.

This is definitely a better effort than Sanderson's first book - along with crafting another interesting universe (his premise), the characters and plot are more engaging and less one dimensional.
