4.5 stars! (NB: this review is for the audiobook.) This book, (well, these two books, since it's the first two books of the series combined), hit all the right notes for me. Compelling characters, a fast-paced and engaging plot, and just enough worldbuilding to immerse me in the story without overwhelming me with infodumps.
