It's hard to say why I gave this 4 stars. It's a thorough story. Eragon starts as a callow youth and ends up as a man. He's grown in maturity and power. He's mastered his fears.

In a way, it wasn't much of a surprise that they beat Galbatorix. It would have been more so, if they had lost to him. However, I liked the idea of no one person beating him. That together they did, was a better way to end the story.

I'm also not so sure about Eragon and Saphira going off on their own, but the reasoning be

Ma come? Già dovevano essere tre libri e tu li trasformi in 4 e va bene. Il terzo esce dopo tantissimo tempo ed è una brodaglia allungata proprio perche' già non avevi più niente da dire, ma ci mettevi tanto a dirlo. Arriviamo al quarto libro, capitolo conclusivo, dove tutti i nodi dovrebbero arrivare al pettine e ci sono così tanti personaggi che ci serviva un bignami e un vocabolario perchè forse stavi pensando che siccome c'era riuscito Tolkien e pure i romulani che male faceva ad inventarsi ...more

Cabe-me desde já dizer que a edição é das PIORES coisinhas que já li. Erros de tradução, erros ortográficos, erros nos itálicos que indicam diálogos e monólogos mentais, etc... Sinceramente, no mercado de livros actual e dado tratar-se de uma editora tida como grande, não esperava ver uma obra tão maltratada, com um trabalho editorial e de revisão tão pobre. Há frases que perdem todo o sentido e só relendo e adivinhando a correcção se entende que está ali um erro que se julgaria impossível.

Overall I loved this series and found it a very enjoyable read. The characters were interesting and they found creative ways to overcome seemingly impossible situations. Not to mention, the world building and mythology were great.

SPOILERS BELOW

As for this book, I still enjoyed it, particularly because we FINALLY got some more Murtagh and I loved how it showcased his feelings for Nasuada. However, let's just say thank God the author plans to eventually write more books in this world following the
