From the Bookshelf of Sci-fi and Heroic Fantasy…

I loved the book and I'm sad that the hype discouraged me to read it for so long. This book made me feel every emotion there is: sad, happy, thoughtful, angry, scared, nostalgic, ecstatic and ... you got the picture.

This book has some myst

I loved the book and I'm sad that the hype discouraged me to read it for so long. This book made me feel every emotion there is: sad, happy, thoughtful, angry, scared, nostalgic, ecstatic and ... you got the picture.

This book has some mystery aspects going on. It kept me wondering about small things throughout the entire book: what's so special about this paper weigh; why knives; where is Jeevan; where did they go; what happened; how, who, when, why, what... And I also loved how everything got explained - in very unexpected moments and in very unexpected form.(view spoiler)[I got goosebumps every time it was revealed how all characters are connected to each other and how every piece of the story intertwined. Station Eleven was also a very realistic book to me and I'm not talking about realism of this type of apocalypses. I'm talking about human actions, human emotions and some random life observation. This book talks realistically about very obvious thing, things that I felt I already knew, but never seen/read being put into so very few words in such clear way.

Station Eleven's apocalypses reads realistic as well and I think the reason for this is the POVs chosen to tell each part of the story: all pieces told from a person that directly lives through the situation and the reader get to experience this the first hand. Often dystopian stories are told in such ways that first hours, days, months of an apocalypse is remembered by someone and retold to a character and indirectly to a reader. I'm glad that Station Eleven is not one of these stories and I got to see the end of the world myself.

P.S. The comics idea is wonderful. Someone needs to make it, because I have to read it.
