An interesting premise of a dystopian world, that is uncovered in layers. Unfortunately most of the characters were undeveloped, and the back story should have been expanded.

Wool begins with a fascinating premise that only becomes more intriguing as the story moves along. Howey constructs a world in which the remnants of humankind are confined to underground silos with little accurate knowledge of the outside. Howey does a brilliant job of invigorating the dystopian genre to give adults their own unexpected drop into a future wasteland. The pace of storytelling kept me moving quickly forward, as I hungered to understand the how, the what, and the underpinnings of this subterranean world. I look forward to this tale's continuation and to learn what will come of his crew. Don't leave us hanging too long!

It was a good read forbooks 1 - 4 but book 5, well, I ended up skipping pages. Good ending but the middle was so filled with unneeded description while the ending was rushed. Had planning to read the prequel but not sure about that now.
Wonderful series! I almost passed it up after a friend gave it a bad review. I am sure glad I didn't!!
