A wonderful, and thoroughly haunting novel. It took me a few chapters of wide-eyed reading to first adjust to the darkness of Huxley's dystopia. What he created is unique but also terrifyingly perceivable in a way that sobers us up from our own soma-filled lives. Unfortunately, the lovely shock I experienced from the earliest chapters of the novel perhaps contributed to my less favorable thoughts on the middle section, where the story became- a little boring.
