5++ stars - Vampire Romance/Young Adult
The book that started a phenomenon and opened my eyes to the wonderful, vast world of romance. I just can't say enough about it. Just simply that it's a beautiful and sweet against all odds love story. I love Edward and Bella's awkward, tentative, honest, sweet, and bold relationship. Meyer truly captured the innocence and excitement of young, first love and made the reader feel right alongside Bella. The book that made so many of us want our very own Edwar ...more

I did enjoy the book a lot. I love a new take on vampires. It all began with Anne Rice and now continues with Stephanie Myers. I've read different reviews and mulled them over while I was reading. I really do think she gives a new spin to vampires and disagree with Bella's obsession with Edward as a bad influence for girls. He's a vampire. They are not going to be like regular guys.
I enjoyed reading the book from Bella's perspective and think this could be lost in the movie. But the story and c ...more

Bella Swan isn’t looking forward to life in Forks. Though her dad is easy to be around, she’s spent most of her life without him. On top of which, she can’t stand the weather, and she knows she won’t fit in.
So when the first week of school is full of stares and whispers, Bella’s not surprised. Some of her classmates seem friendly enough, though some also seem overly friendly. All in all, things seem to be going fairly well. Until Biology, when her lab partner takes an immediate dislike to her, m ...more

This book is about a human girl named Bella who falls into a vampire disguised as a human. When she finds out that the guy she loves is a vampire, she learns that maybe she can't have a close relationship with him anymore. Throughout this book she struggles to find ways to stay with her one true love, Edward.

One of my favourite, charming, and funny. I really don't believe this is just for young girls, I think everyone can find something they relate to when it comes down to the relationship. This book really does lay down some good foundations for the start of Bella and Edwards relationship.

I loved this book and while it was aimed at a teenage audience, was completely captivated by Meyer's descriptions of dreamy Edward. Meyer's book is a great, quick read and while she uses the same words over and over again to describe Edward, I fell for the book and for the romance!

Yes...I just have to read this series again. I've seen the movie three times, and I read Twilight last summer, so I needed to see what I'd forgotten. I can't believe I wouldn't pick this book up and read it for years just because it had vampires in it. I guess I was prejudice against them and I do appologize to the Cullens. ;D
