I'm embarrassed to say that I purposefully avoided Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) for a long while. I'm not a fan of the whole Cinderella story being told and retold. Mistake. Big mistake. Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) is so deep and so unique that there is barely any way to compare it to Cinderella... or any other book.

There is so much to love that I'm not sure where to begin. I think I will start with the fact that Marissa Meyer created a heroine who is physically impaired. Those very flaws are t

Having never read an alien book before this one, I was kind of apprehensive about reading this book because aliens don’t really appeal to me. There was a lot of hype surrounding this book so I decided to give it a go afterall and ended up really enjoying it. Cinder by Marissa Meyer was a delightfully creepy Cinderella rewrite. Seriously, where else can you read a rewrite that includes cyborgs, future plagues intermixed with lunar colonies and a divergent human species; that actually works for a pleasurable read. This book is a completely fun read and should be enjoyed by many.
