The Parable of the Sower is a thought-provoking and unsettling read, with a premise that feels disturbingly relevant even decades after its publication. Butler's depiction of a collapsing society is scarily prescient, and the early parts of the novel—focused on a family trying to survive in an unraveling world—were especially compelling.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was an interesting reflection of the world and who doesn't want to root for a band of survivors in post apocalyptic times? It does a good job of conveying the chaos of humanity.

Other reviewers are correct in their criticisms: the narration is a bit emotionless and doesn't always sound the character's age. Why are a bunch of ppl following an 18 year old? The main character's relationship with a much older partner is a huge missed opportunity, but is on
