This book is the best of all the Anita Blake elements.
We get gruesome zombies, relationship development and vampire politics.
This is and will probably remain in my top 3 from the entire series because all the plots work together and the relationships don't get in the way of Anita's work, she goes against some powerful enemies and still comes out on top with the help of her friends and lovers.

Best book since Obsidian Butterfly! It had a plot, it had sex, Edward, and a freaking flamethrower! Best of all it really did keep me on the edge of my seat. Tensed. Love, love, loved it.
