I love Anita. Like I want to be one of her 'sweeties'. Seriously though, this book seemed different because there wasn't so much sex in it. I liked that there was a story and she was back in fighting mode. I mean it was good to see the usual cast of characters, and great to see Micah's family. I also liked getting to know Nicky better, seeing that even the strongest of the crew had doubts, and fears.

I was very hesitant about reading this because the last book was so disappointing. But I was nicely surprised. Not back to the quality of books prior to 13, but definitely an improvement in that direction. Not as many new characters are introduced to track ( interesting ones in previous book not carried to this one ) and favorites are back. It was like checking in on old friend - with fangs and fur. Truly a 3.5 but rounding up in hope for a continued upward trend.
