I loved it! Loved getting more back story on Micah and Nathanial, Jean-Claude AND Edward are present and vital to the story (I only wish Jason had been there...;)). I do get bored during the seemingly very long conversations about feelings, potential feelings, and everything that has happened before this book. Even though I finished this book a while ago, I've been putting off the review, because I just wasn't sure what to think. I really did like the book. I love the Anita Blake series. I like that Hamilton can blend suspense, PNR, urban fantasy and a touch of erotica into such complex books. I was a little sad that it was over halfway through the book before we got to any good sex, but it would have definitely been weird to put it in any earlier. As always another awesome book!! The only thing I hate is Laurell always makes the last chapter so short about the charters!! I guess that's where she gets you by wanting more, and leaves you hanging at the same time?! However, love to see how far everyone has come!!!

A really good build up, but the last 40 pages let it down. Full review to come.
