This was Jennifer Weiner's first book. I remember reading it with such enthusiasm. First, it was set in Philly and secondly the main character was chubby. And she was NOT portrayed in a negative manner. She has the same struggles as the next girl, just with about 30 extra pounds.

The book that started my lengthy obsession with Jennifer Weiner, this book is a classic of the chick lit genre. For the woman battling weight issues, relationship problems, or motherhood - this book is for you.
Jennifer Weiner is by far the best and most talented of the "chick-lit" generation of authors. This is my favorite of her books.
