I have to say when I started this book I thought to myself «why all the fuss?» in terms of romance when it reads more like a general murder/mystery. Well after you manage to patiently wade through the first 175 pages more or less you’ll understand the hype for this 28 (so far!) book series (!) It’s very good once the h/h get together and the romance gets going. I wavered between a 4 and a 4.5 star rating but settled on the 4 because those first 175 pages were tough without the romance ;)

I love this series!!!! This is my 3rd go round with this series (I have just started collecting them for myself). As I said I do love this series, it just gets better and better with each offering (can't wait to read her latest Stranger in death).
I have to say though, that this would be one of my favourites. I just love how Roberts (aka Robb) brings Roarke and Eve together. These 2 characters would be my favourites of all time and I think the author is stunning in the way in which she slowly de

REVIEW OF EBOOK & AUDIOBOOK JANUARY 2, 2014: 5 STARS
This was excellent in audio despite a couple of errors by Susan Ericksen.

I love that she gave Roarke just a touch of an Irish accent, enough for me to distinguish him from Eve because Ericksen doesn't change her timbre or voice level between male and female characters.

Since I already loved this first installment when I reread it in 2008, this time it was just to see if the audio version made it more enjoyable. It did, and for that I am giving

Eve and Roarke

5++ stars

This will be a book I will forever kick myself for not reading sooner. Wow. What a story. What a relationship. What a beginning to a series. I want more. Now.

Oh and I want Roarke. Yummy.

Set in 2158. Brief glimpses of Eve's past. Raped by father. Had a correlation to this story since it was about the senator raping his daughter and granddaughter.

I originally listened/read this one last year in April. Earlier this week I was looking for an audio book and decided to listen to it again. Wow, I think I like it better now than originally. I had forgotten how early a lot of the supporting characters were introduced ie: Mira, Feeney, Nadine. This truly has become one of my favorite series and the reader Suzanne Erikson ROCKS!!!!

In the last couple of years I have been interested in the JD Robb series, but not enough to start it. On

I love this book and the series it is from very much. It is the beginning of Eve Dallas' life with Roarke and the beginning of her ability to remember her past. I reread the entire series every chance I get. ...more
