[close] I simply couldn't put it down. It's not the kind of novel that builds to a big climatic scene, but somehow it's still a page turner. Great character development even though I don't remember college being anything like this. Also, if you can't stomach obscene language than you might want to pass.

Reads pretty much like any other "girl from the sticks makes her way to the big city" story.

Plus a couple of terrible research errors from an author who is extremely thorough really dropped me out of the story: North Carolina does not have county roads and college basketball does not have quarters. ...more
