When Penguin finds Pinecone, he learns that he needs to take his friend to the forest for him to thrive. After he drops his friend off, he is sad and fondly thinks of his friend. He decides to visit Pinecone to see if he has grown big and strong as well. Pinecone has grown into a glorious pine, complete with the scarf that Penguin had knit for him.

This too had a great emotional quality - and it was such a touching story of true friendship and love! And told in so few pages! I recommend this book to everyone. By far one of the best series of children's picture books I've read (so far) and I can't wait for the next ones to be published!

I love penguins so it was cute to have a penguin as a main character. I do think the pinecone character was kind of weird but it made for a cute moment when it "grew tall and strong." The book has a nice message, it just didn't wow me. ...more
