Anya, a high school student with Russian roots, falls into a well and ends up becoming BFF with a ghost. That's a lot to pack into a story's background and it all ties together for a story that's sweet, a touch scary, and really tells about how Anya finds herself.

Recommended for high school. Anya is a high school student, smokes, and attends a party at which her love interest has sex (behind a closed door) with not his girlfriend.
