It might just be because I thought that book 10 was so fantastic but I was really disappointed with this one. It was interesting to hear about Gideon and Madelyn and Grace but I was so into Amy and Dan's story that part of me didn't care. Then when it came back to Amy and Dan, it just wasn't as interesting. This book was also somewhat darker as some characters (not main ones) are described being killed. Not sure if I will end up reading the Cahills vs Vespers series as I really dislike the whole ...more

I thought this book was very good at creating a back story for the feud between the Cahills v.s. Vespers'. I did think that it was a little unrealistic for Gideon to create such a serum in the time that it was created though. The book was VERY well written but did not give much information about events that happened after the 10th book. I would very much recommend this book to someone that has read the 39 clues series before. ...more
