One of my favorite Lemony Snicket quotes was in the book! That was a pleasant surprise (it’s the oneabout interesting things always happening at bedtime).
I enjoyed this installment. The writing style is funny as always, especially the water cycle parts. I gasped when I learned about Fiona’s brother.

Captain Widdershins is my new favorite character from these books. He's so funny! I sure hope he comes back in subsequent books, though there are so few left!
Fiona annoyed me though. She started out well enough, but I was saddened by some of her choices.
Again, I'm so glad that things are really starting to move forward! This mystery might be solved in no time!
