This series of books embodied everything that bugs me about modern "trilogies." Basically, The Selection and The Elite and The One are one book, published in three sections. This is not a trilogy, IMHO. This is one book published over a period of time! Kind of like Dickens' serials which were published chapter by chapter in magazines. No one pretended that it was not all one book.

let me start by saying that I liked this book (obviously by my stars too haha). I liked the book because it did a good job of wrapping the story up nicely with no loss ties. I love when authors answer all of my questions in the book, especially for the last book. It relieves the anxiety of the missing gaps in the story. Overall, I thought the book was pretty cute too. This conclusion to the Selection trilogy had me on a rollercoaster of emotions. At some points of the book, I thought "this is stupid, Cass should have just condensed this whole story into one book instead of dragging it out." At other points I was giddy with the story and couldn't wait to see what happened next.
