I highly enjoyed this novel! I have been putting it off for a while as it’s a trilogy and only books one and two are out, so I was planning to wait until all three were published. However, my school library just received a copy, so I swooped in and took it before it hit the shelves. I’m glad I did! I thought this novel was phenomenal! It reminds me of The Hunger Games trilogy. If you liked that series, then I highly recommend reading The Maze Runner, even though the series is not yet complete.

This book I liked okay. It was an interesting dystopian book. I didn't get into the second book so much and didn't finish it.

It took a while to get into the story, then it started to feel like it was just dragging on. I appreciate the story structure created by author that allows the story to be told but still hasn't revealed the true situation. I am interested in the relationship between Thomas and Teresa and the roles of Newt & Minho moving forward. I am also curious about the reasoning behind only boys in the Glades. This is definitely not as enjoyable as The Hunger Games or Divergent, but I am intrigued enough to ...more
