Huge disappointment. I did not care about any of the characters in this book. And I was completely bored. The author droned on and on... About nothing.
I cannot believe this was on the NY Times bestseller of the summer book list. I was so bored I almost didn't finish it. This is the story of the Post family who vacation to Mallorca, mainly to celebrate the parents 35th anniversary and the daughter's high school graduation. Their son and his girlfriend and a gay couple also join them. Secrets are supposed to be revealed. Nothing earth-shattering that hasn't already been told in books before. Sorry, I just can't recommend this one.

I know there were many people who had issues with this book, but I loved everything about it. Definite 5 stars.
3.5 stars: the writing was good and made me want to hop a plane to Mallorca, but the characters were flawed to the point of being snobby, unlikeable and grating. A decent beach read.
