With all its quirks and things that I didn’t really care for, Dune is still an entertaining narrative, especially considering it is 50 years old.

I know, I know.
As one of those “FANTASY PEOPLE”, I’m supposed to have read Dune, right? Right? Everyone has? EVERYONE!
I hadn’t, so I finally broke down and took the plunge. Anytime there’s a book like this, a classic, a quintessential piece of sci-fi/fantasy, I can’t help but go in with some preconceived notions. Meh; I thought it was a lot better when I was a teenager. Doesn’t pass the Bechdel Test...cool world building though. I’m excited to see the movie just to see Arrakis and the Worms.
