Second time around, I definitely like this book better, especially now that I've had more fantasy novels under my belt and can appreciate the genre more.

Very well written, imaginative world and magic system. I loved that it started out with the bad guy in charge. Kelsier was my favourite character, Vin was a bit too paranoid for me, but that didn't affect my overall enjoyment of the book.

WOW! What an incredibly complex and invigorating story. The world, the power, the characters were really something. Just... WOW. Will need to read book two soon - tricksy teaser chapter at the end!
