What Members Thought

I remember being a young girl and sitting in my reading cubby (my bedroom had a random closet built into the wall with shutters that I put a lamp in and would disappear into for hours to read, I still miss that comfort) reading a children's version of Oliver Twist. I remember it being sad but not nearly as gritty.
So now I read the full novel 16-19 years later and I was struck by many things:
