What Members Thought
Goodreads is capable of ridiculous levels of peer pressure. The type of peer pressure that involves not a single comment from another person, caused entirely by my seeing that more than one of my friends is reading the same book and ENJOYING it. I feel so left out and find myself having the read that book as soon as possible. So it happened with Anna Karenina and I am so glad that I felt that (non-existent) peer pressure to read this monster of a book.

Two years and four months that's how long I took to finish this. I'm sure I went a full year without reading more than 10 pages. It started off really well back in 2023 - it was supposed to be a chapter a day which was remarkably easy at first. Chapters are really short and i easily read 3 or more when the plot was moving along nicely and then midway those f*cking un-ending agricultural chapters completely killed my joy - I just stopped reading altogether and this book just hung around on my Goo

I loved this story but was very surprised to find that it was actually a story about faith.
