This is one of those classics that I just have to say that I officially don't get why they're so popular. Well, that's not necessarily true. I think had I read this when I was a kid I probably would have liked it a little more, but still I don't think I would have been enamored by it. In fact, I found myself perpetually bored by reading it.

I listened to “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” by Mark Twain from a recording that I made using the on-line public book domain website - Librivox (http://librivox.org/)

I had read this book as a youth and wanted something to listen to why I drove from Texas to Utah. I enjoyed the escapades of Tom Sawyer and his mates along the Mississippi River.

This book should be required reading for every boy. Action books like this one can help boys develop for love of reading.
